Five Guys burgers is a great lunch spot anytime and a pretty good dinner spot if you aren’t looking for anything too upscale.

Five Guys is first, foremost, and only a burger joint. You can get one patty or two and cheese or no cheese as well as a wide variety of selections for toppings, but you better want a burger if you come to Five Guys as a hot dog is pretty much the only other thing on the menu.

Perhaps it is this focus on one thing and one thing only that makes Five Guys such a heavyweight in the burger business. Their burgers are great. They are always cooked just right with a good amount of meat on the bun to fill up any type of appetite. The large servings of fries are cooked deliciously and seasoned just right. Writing about them makes me want to run out and get “two patties” (as the cashier would yell out to the cooks for my double burger) and a regular fry.

The burgers are cooked to order so you will have to wait a few minutes, but while you wait they also have peanuts in the shell that you can eat free while you wait on your meal. The food service is pretty quick even at the busy lunch hour and you can get in and out (and back to work) in a relatively decent amount of time.

Five Guys is a heavyweight and a serious contender for best burger in Little Rock with Arkansas Burger. If you haven’t tried it yet, put it on your list for a great lunch stop any day of the week or a quick dinner spot when a sit down or casual dining restaurant isn’t what you are in the mood for.
