Osaka receives my vote for best sushi restaurant in Little Rock and ranks high on the list of best restaurants in Little Rock overall.

Let’s start with the sushi. Osaka has a very good selection of rolls to choose from including several specialty rolls. (The Razorback roll and the Smoky Mountain roll are excellent choices) In addition to the rolls, there is also a nice selection of nigiri and sashimi all of which tastes excellent.

And as an added bonus to the deliciousness of their sushi, Osaka adds in a sushi happy hour special from 6-8 PM daily that has most of their rolls and nigiri available at $4.50 per roll or $1.50 per piece of nigiri. That combination of price and taste is hard to beat anyway you look at it.

In addition to their sushi which is the highlight for this reviewer, they also have a solid regular menu as well covering most standard Japanese fare. A favorite off the regular menu is one of their combination boxes that usually includes two types of meat dishes and a sushi roll. And if none of that works for you, they also have an all you can eat Mongolian grill.

The restaurant is a nice quiet place on Highway 10 that is almost never crowded and seems to never have a wait for a table. The service is friendly and excellent although occasionally the sushi runs a little behind when they are busy but it is worth the small delay, and while you wait the attentive servers will check on you and keep your glass full of whatever you are drinking.

Osaka is one of my favorite restaurants in Little Rock and the one I like best for sushi on both taste and price. It is a gem of a restaurant that is a nice quiet place with a great atmosphere and great service. It is highly recommended.
